Understanding Video Composition

Video Composition is the arrangement of elements within a video. Including the master footage alongside the additions - such as B-roll to memes to motion graphics. If any one of these are slightly lazily done, it sets the mood for the entire video which can mean a lot in watch time and video engagement.

Another way that a video can be composited differently is the overall colours and feeling within a video. The image above is a standard S-log clip from the main camera (Ze10) However without any colour collection, or TLC, it stays a grayscale type video. However with some TLC you can make anything look golden!

Essential Elements of Time Management

1. Length of Video: How long do you want the video to be? is it a lesson video where you want the most detail possible? or is it a tortourial video where you want the most amount of information possible in the smallest amount of time

2. Ad Revenue: Usually on YouTube, you need an 8 minute video to be eligable to gain money from that video. Usually you want videos to be longer than this mark, because well, who dosn't like ad revenue?

3. Short form, or long form: If you want a short form video to be as captivation as possible, you want lots of very short clips all in one, however this is not sustainable for a longer video.
